Sugar Free Milk
- by Low Carb Chic
First and foremost” HAPPY NEW YEAR”. I hope all had a good day.
Ok, most of us that are recently diagnosed with diabetes, are unaware of the amount of sugar that is in MILK.
I for one have always loved milk, and never had read what was in it. Some of us might be alright with the 12 grams of sugar per cup of milk, but 1 cup of milk will send MY sugar really high. I started out with Soy Milk, but it’s just not for me. Then I found Hood Calorie CountDown Milk in my local Wal-Mart,and I loved it. It is made of heavy cream , ultra filtered water, and splenda. Well guess what my local Wal-Mart, and any other store in my area does not carry this milk anymore. SOOOOOOOOOO I made up my own, and here it is. I figure it’s cheaper anyways, and I’ve always got the ingredients on hand so I can make it fresh all the time. I hope you enjoy.

Here is your line up~Bottled water, half and half, and a pack of Splenda.
Add your Splenda to a glass, or a bowl for cereal(1 pack works well). The only cereals that really work for a diabetic are regular Cheerios and Glucerna brand cereals for diabetics – Which you can buy at Wal-Mart (for now).
Add your half and half (1/3 of a cup)
Add your water(approximately1cup)and stir.
And if your in the mood for some chocolate milk? Well here you go. I found this sugar free chocolate at Wal-Mart.
Again I hope you enjoy!
